The supporters of Ecuador booed when TJ Lokomotiva DL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Urbano Hever didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dominik Heinrich having to interfere. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dominik Heinrich took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. A collision led to TJ Lokomotiva DL getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Arpád Domin hit a great ball. Dominik Heinrich showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 17th minute of the match. After 21 minutes TJ Lokomotiva DL's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Agustín Saelices made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that TJ Lokomotiva DL's Dominik Heinrich managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 21st minute, Agustín Saelices made a precise shot to the right of Dominik Heinrich. TJ Lokomotiva DL's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. TJ Lokomotiva DL's Dominik Heinrich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 28th minute of play. In the 28th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Zorita to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dominik Heinrich saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dominik Heinrich read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gervasio Flores in the 35th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dominik Heinrich. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 42nd minute of play forced TJ Lokomotiva DL's goalkeeper Dominik Heinrich to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Dominik Heinrich came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. With his leg Dominik Heinrich managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dominik Heinrich took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 73 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dominik Heinrich narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 75 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dominik Heinrich. Daniel Zorita showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. Dominik Heinrich made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Felix Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 83 minutes, Derwin Rallo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the TJ Lokomotiva DL and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Dominik Heinrich in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 92 minutes into the match, TJ Lokomotiva DL's goalkeeper Dominik Heinrich had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. In the 93rd minute, Urbano Hever hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
