With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iwan Jazowski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With his leg Jonathan Ferrant managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when beşiktaş A.Ş.'s Siro Garoa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Iwan Jazowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iwan Jazowski having to make a save. After 27 played minutes beşiktaş A.Ş. got a freekick which was hit by Turgay Yaslı. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind beşiktaş A.Ş.'s goalkeeper Iwan Jazowski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The corner led Venezuela's Tomas Illescas to fire away a dangerous shot which Iwan Jazowski despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Iwan Jazowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Correa in the 37th minute of play. In the 46th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Illescas to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th minute, Siro Garoa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The goal made the score 3-2. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. After 54 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Siro Garoa in the 59th minute of play. beşiktaş A.Ş.'s Alkan Acar got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 69 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Mina. After having played for 70 minutes, Siro Garoa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. beşiktaş A.Ş.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Siro Garoa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 79 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Siro Garoa came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zula Zabrzeski made in the 84th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Hasan Tahsin. 88 minutes into the match, beşiktaş A.Ş.'s goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Iwan Jazowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Siro Garoa in the 92nd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. beşiktaş A.Ş.'s supporters were highly satisfied with the result.
