In the 7th match minute, Orestes Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ildefonso Leobardo to maneuver through the defense. Indartsu Vega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicasio Abad having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Orestes Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Leopoldo Laurgain came free, but Mauro Filipo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erubiel Remicio in the 17th minute of play forced Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s goalkeeper Nicasio Abad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Serafino Mano was slow to take the kick. During this time Orestes Football Club's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Orestes Football Club's Ildefonso Leobardo to fire away a dangerous shot which Nicasio Abad despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Indartsu Vega in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nicasio Abad saved Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ from getting behind. Filiberto Bernebes short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Mauro Filipo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ booed when Orestes Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Indartsu Vega didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mauro Filipo made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Camilo Palben sent off a good shot on target. 31 minutes into the match, Orestes Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Leopoldo Laurgain came free, but Mauro Filipo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Camilo Palben could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Mauro Filipo made a huge save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erubiel Remicio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Nicasio Abad got control of the ball when Indartsu Vega tried to sneak it across the goal line. Serafino Mano lost his temper 64 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Serafino Mano kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Filiberto Bernebe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mauro Filipo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. A collision led to Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Baldomiro Osoitz hit a great ball. Orestes Football Club's Mauro Filipo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopoldo Laurgain in the 79th minute of play. Nicanor Roano kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. After having played for 87 minutes, Ildefonso Leobardo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Orestes Football Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ildefonso Leobardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nicasio Abad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Indartsu Vega in the 91st minute of the match. The supporters of Orestes Football Club booed when Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fausto Fonso didn't get a good kick on the ball. 95 minutes into the game, Fausto Fonso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Orestes Football Club the free kick. After a rather tough play, Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Fausto Fonso got a free kick in the 95th minute. Urbano Sesuldo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Orestes Football Club players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
