With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonardo Penha in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. Angelo Bertoni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Tasis in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 47th minute, Leonardo Penha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0.

Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 87 minutes of play, ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ's Leonardo Penha made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Federico Vani blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Davide Di Tommaso went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ had played much better football throughout.
