The audience thought a goal was coming when 吕鸿桦 got free with Benito Sanz in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 温霆思 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eliseo Noboa to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54thth minute of the game 温霆思 who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by 温霆思 in the 86th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 温霆思 took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by 吕鸿桦 in the 92nd minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
