In the 28th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Ferro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oscar Ferro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 92nd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Oscar Ferro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. ≮王者归来≯F.C.落落无尘 were victorious despite being under pressure from Ecuador for much of the match.
