In the 6th minute Damian Stonehouse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Matthew Brookman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Miguel Miralles hit a great ball. 15 minutes into the match, Egg Chasers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Sarmiento came free, but Fabien Barthez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damian Stonehouse in the 22nd minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Damian Stonehouse came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abraham Alguacil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabien Barthez having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Matthew Brookman dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcos Cotilla, 1-0. In the 32nd minute of the match, Peter Crouch got a very nice opportunity to score, but Marcos Cotilla was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 35 minutes into the match, Egg Chasers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Fabien Barthez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute, Alex Barone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 40 minutes, Isidoro Sarmiento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidoro Sarmiento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Matthew Brookman tried to sneak it across the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Berganza was the one to do the kick off. When Joel Groom fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Egg Chasers FC's protests and gave Joel Groom a yellow card for diving instead. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Egg Chasers FC's goalkeeper Fabien Barthez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damian Stonehouse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matthew Brookman, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Damian Stonehouse struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Marcos Cotilla didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Egg Chasers FC. In the 66th minute, Tomas Berganza reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fabien Barthez. The goal made the score 1-2. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Egg Chasers FC's Matthew Brookman. But to his dismay, Matthew Brookman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damian Stonehouse in the 85th minute of play. Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Egg Chasers FC's Joel Groom got a free kick in the 90th minute. 93 minutes into the match, Damian Stonehouse had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Damian Stonehouse was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Egg Chasers FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Panama had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
