Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Axel Tasis took the kick off in the first half of the match. Aaron Alcocer hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Tore-Andre Årseth struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guttane. Guttane's Snorre Lyngstad quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Abel Carballo, made in the 6th minute of the game. Eliseo Noboa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Bjørnar Kaasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Odd Sørdal received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benito Sanz came out and tried to block the shot, but Odd Sørdal slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 23rd minute. Odd Sørdal scored 2-0 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 38thth minute of the game Christer Fiskvik who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Guttane's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Noboa came free, but Bjørnar Kaasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christer Fiskvik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Christer Fiskvik to make the kick off. After 56 minutes, Axel Tasis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Guttane players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 56 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Axel Tasis. Abel Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Cornelius Nilssen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christer Fiskvik in the 63rd minute of play. Guttane were awarded a corner in the 65th minute after Costa Rica's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sebastian Ranheim took the corner. The corner led Guttane's Sebastian Ranheim to fire away a dangerous shot which Benito Sanz despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Alan Moruga hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Juan Rubio charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juan Rubio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Juan Rubio kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Costa Rica's Axel Tasis got his second yellow card of the match in the 73rd minute. The referee ordered Axel Tasis off the ground. After 74 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Axel Tasis. In the 79th minute Odd Sørdal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 82 minutes, Christer Fiskvik made it 5-1 with a short kick to the right side. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Odd Sørdal in the 84th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Odd Sørdal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christer Fiskvik in the 88th minute of play. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Eliseo Noboa hit a great ball. Guttane's attentive Marius Finstad managed to snatch the ball when Abel Carballo made a throw-in in the 95th minute of the game. There was no doubt that Guttane were the better team. Guttane's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
