Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Black Dog F.C.'s Benedicto Ursino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 16th minute of play. Benedicto Ursino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedicto Ursino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Black Dog F.C.'s Benedicto Ursino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Mina in the 23rd minute of play. After 24 minutes Black Dog F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Peru's Luz Tejedor to fire away a dangerous shot which Benedicto Ursino despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of Peru booed when Black Dog F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ovidio Chuse didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Valter Xabat tried to sneak it across the goal line. Black Dog F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julian Murillo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kilian Mbappè made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Israel Walme came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernardino Chorache made in the 92nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Valter Xabat however managed to control. Benedicto Ursino was out of position in the 96 minute of play, and Rafael Gallo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rafael Gallo really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. The Peru supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Peru would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
