Jaime Cazalla was slow to take the kick. During this time Uruguay's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Jaime Cazalla got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Nilson Fraser quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A hard shot 21 in the game by Silvério Pinhal from a close distance when the talented Joaquin Gayoso managed to make a qualified save. Uruguay's players were relieved. Ayla FC's Nilson Fraser played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Seco in the 24th minute of play. With a little luck, Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso got control of the ball when Silvério Pinhal tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Ayla FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brayden Duggan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Covarrubias to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silvério Pinhal in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 44 played minutes Ayla FC got a freekick which was hit by Tiger Nunn. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Ayla FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eddie Pegrum didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nilson Fraser made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Seco in the 48th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Silvério Pinhal was the one to do the kick off. Eddie Pegrum got a throw-in 55 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Larry Knevett. Ayla FC's Rob Porteus got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvério Pinhal in the 61st minute of the match. In the 64th minute, Bruno Beldad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Uruguay's Camilo Franco quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Maximiliano Escribano charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maximiliano Escribano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
