Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandro Vivar having to interfere. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucjan Jaraczeski in the 11th minute. In the 13th minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sandro Vivar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sandro Vivar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 18th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sandro Vivar. LOCOS Dąbrowa Górnicza's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Sandro Vivar made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. In the 56th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sandro Vivar made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The LOCOS Dąbrowa Górnicza fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Daniel Zorita who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Sandro Vivar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tarik Ožir in the 86th minute of play. After 88 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sandro Vivar was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 93rd minute, Daniel Skonieczny hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Zorita took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sandro Vivar. LOCOS Dąbrowa Górnicza's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
