Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Camilo Gisbert hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. JubiladosPlayasdeMalagaFS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Vincente Iraegui in the 17th minute. A nice corner shot did that Vincente Iraegui got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Montenegro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tino Casal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alejandro Folch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 36 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejandro Folch in the 38th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tino Casal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 40th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alejandro Folch to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Luis Andino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alejandro Folch received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julio Vera came out and tried to block the shot, but Alejandro Folch slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 53rd minute. Klement Mroczynski hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Tino Casal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 57th minute of the match. In the 60th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tino Casal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Sergio Odín came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tino Casal came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristi Popovici kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. After 75 minutes JubiladosPlayasdeMalagaFS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. An unexpected shot in the 80th minute by Alejandro Folch got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristi Popovici during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tino Casal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Sancho's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Alejandro Folch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 98 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Luis Andino.
