With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gerd Oolo in the 34th managed to get into a good position. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lautaro Navarro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Valentín Carvallo made in the 47th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Christian Sancho immediately put the ball in play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The supporters of 延边朝鲜族足球俱乐部 booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position.
