The corner led VB-Team's Álvaro Rezende to fire away a dangerous shot which Pedro Manzanares despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 5th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kevin Mastache to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Manzanares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gervásio Severiano in the 6th minute. In the 7thth minute of the game Gervásio Severiano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Colombia's Pedro Manzanares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Colombia from getting a goal against them. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim de Barros in the 12th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Joaquim de Barros's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Manzanares was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Joaquim de Barros tried to sneak it across the goal line. Armindo Salgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. When Axel Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Colombia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Axel Montenegro couldn't finish the play. Kevin Mastache might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Armindo Salgado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kevin Mastache ran back to his position shaking his head. Armindo Salgado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abram Sarmiento's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. In the 38th minute Abram Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armindo Salgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. VB-Team's Armindo Salgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 41st minute of play. In the 47th minute, Axel Montenegro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Armindo Salgado was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abram Sarmiento made a kick off. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Caeiro in the 52nd minute of the match. Colombia's Axel Montenegro got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 56th minute, Arthur Guerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Axel Montenegro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Armindo Salgado came out and tried to block the shot, but Axel Montenegro slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 58th minute. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Caeiro in the 61st minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Luís Caeiro notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Colombia's Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Axel Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Armindo Salgado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. 68 minutes into the match, VB-Team's goalkeeper Armindo Salgado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Axel Montenegro. Enzo Pellecchia hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. VB-Team's Yu Ke Hong was substituted for Enzo Pellecchia. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. In the 70th match minute, VB-Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enzo Pellecchia to maneuver through the defense. Abram Secada's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Armindo Salgado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Armindo Salgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santino Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ignacio Mastache fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armindo Salgado having to interfere. If Traian Hăvârneanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Gervásio Severiano came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the VB-Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gervásio Severiano couldn't finish the play. 91 minutes into the game, Luís Caeiro threw the ball into play from the sideline. Colombia's Pascual Carballar quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The crowd rose to their feet as Colombia's Kevin Mastache slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Armindo Salgado. That made the score 3-5 after 91 minutes of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Colombia eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
