VB-Team's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mariano Lacasa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 14 minutes into the match, VB-Team's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Armindo Salgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by VB-Team's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mariano Lacasa was slow to take the kick. During this time Chile's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Chile's corner Mariano Lacasa fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Armindo Salgado quite easily take care of the ball. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Joaquim de Barros took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Thiago Pliego to make any attempt to save it. Joaquim de Barross short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Thiago Pliego to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 28 minutes into the match, Joaquim de Barros dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Thiago Pliego, 3-1. Joaquim de Barros in the 31stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Thiago Pliego, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Armindo Salgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gervásio Severiano in the 36th minute of play. After 37 played minutes VB-Team got a freekick which was hit by Mattias Jonasson. Shao Kun Yuan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mariano Lacasa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 44 minutes, Mariano Lacasa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chile and the VB-Team players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of VB-Team booed when Chile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mariano Lacasa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 45 played minutes Chile got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Carballar. Joaquim de Barros who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 47thth minute tested the skills of Thiago Pliego when he managed to save the team from getting behind.

Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Caeiro in the 53rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joaquim de Barros in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thiago Pliego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Caeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, VB-Team's Armindo Salgado got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim de Barros in the 63rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Armindo Salgado in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 66th minute Joaquim de Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th minute Chile were awarded a corner. Mariano Lacasa went to the cornerflag to take it. Alan Tamayo made a great header on Chile's corner, it was just that VB-Team's Armindo Salgado managed to reach the ball for a save. Armindo Salgado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 71st minute. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. The match ended in a win for VB-Team.
