In the 7th minute of the match ALIANZA 1901 got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nazario Ispuzua ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Nazario Ispuzua got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jonathan Ferrant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 10 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bieito Luzuriaga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The corner led Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas to fire away a dangerous shot which Bieito Luzuriaga despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 13th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute Alfredo Tomasini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. The ALIANZA 1901 fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when ALIANZA 1901's Alfredo Tomasini looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfredo Tomasini's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. After 26 minutes, Alfredo Tomasini made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 29 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luis Escobar. In the 29th minute, Brais Lahoz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The goal made the score 4-0. Jose Correa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bieito Luzuriaga having to interfere. In the 35thth minute of the game Tomas Illescas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ALIANZA 1901's Bieito Luzuriaga was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Richie Ason fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. When Alfredo Tomasini came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the ALIANZA 1901 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredo Tomasini couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice moves Luis Escobar could shoot a difficult shot in the 45th minute, which Jonathan Ferrant however easily saved by the left post. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luis Escobar in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bieito Luzuriaga saved ALIANZA 1901 from getting behind. In the 58th minute, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bieito Luzuriaga. Bieito Luzuriaga yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-1. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Escobar in the 65th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th minute Richie Ason shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luis Escobar struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ALIANZA 1901. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bieito Luzuriaga having to make a save. 76 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bieito Luzuriaga. Tomas Illescas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-2. When Jose Correa fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Jose Correa a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 86th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. ALIANZA 1901 fully deserved thier win.
