In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind 【FLY】莱比锡红牛's goalkeeper 鲁谦烨, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Facundo Cadaval kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 7th minute of play forced 【FLY】莱比锡红牛's goalkeeper 鲁谦烨 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Natanael Sena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. 鲁谦烨 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Facundo Cadaval, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 16 played minutes 【FLY】莱比锡红牛 got a freekick which was hit by 严文朗. 鲁谦烨 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by 【FLY】莱比锡红牛's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 乔响银 in the 24th minute of the match. 鲁谦烨 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 27th minute of play. In the 28th minute Patric 刘备 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, 【FLY】莱比锡红牛's goal looked a bit too open when Luca Zorita came free, but 鲁谦烨 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after 【FLY】莱比锡红牛's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. 鲁谦烨 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 43rd minute of play. After 44 minutes 【FLY】莱比锡红牛's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. Mexico's Joel Gaona was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but 鲁谦烨 in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Luca Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Patric 刘备 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 鲁谦烨 made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 55th minute. After a defensive mix-up in 【FLY】莱比锡红牛's zone, Alberto Tafalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. 鲁谦烨 came out of the goal and Alberto Tafalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, 【FLY】莱比锡红牛's 鲁谦烨 got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patric 刘备 in the 62nd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 64 played minutes 【FLY】莱比锡红牛 got a freekick which was hit by 白锋耀. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Natanael Sena in the 66th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, 【FLY】莱比锡红牛's goal looked a bit too open when Luca Zorita came free, but 鲁谦烨 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Mexico's Alberto Tafalla in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 82 minutes in the game, Joel Gaona fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without 鲁谦烨 having to interfere. After 86 minutes, Alberto Tafalla made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. 【FLY】莱比锡红牛's 鲁谦烨 tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Alberto Tafalla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but 鲁谦烨 made a huge save. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Mexico had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
