But to his dismay, Vito Leite quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 10 minutes into the match, Cöpacabana FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but Dagoberto Loureiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vito Leite, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Axel Montenegro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dagoberto Loureiro having to make a save. Dagoberto Loureiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Montenegro in the 13th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Harald Boman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Harald Boman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Talha İstanbul received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pedro Manzanares came out and tried to block the shot, but Talha İstanbul slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute Abram Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dagoberto Loureiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Colombia from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Abram Sarmiento's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dagoberto Loureiro was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Cöpacabana FC's Dagoberto Loureiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 29th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Axel Montenegro notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Cöpacabana FC's Dagoberto Loureiro. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, Samuel Navarro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Talha İstanbul came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Cöpacabana FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Talha İstanbul couldn't finish the play.

Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vito Leite in the 53rd minute of play. Colombia's attentive Kevin Mastache managed to snatch the ball when Fabrício Berger made a throw-in in the 54th minute of the game. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Cöpacabana FC's goalkeeper Dagoberto Loureiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stig-Åke Benet in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Manzanares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Talha İstanbul in the 89th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the match, Stig-Åke Benet notched a goal, 4-3, to the right of Colombia's Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 91 minutes into the match, Cöpacabana FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Mastache came free, but Dagoberto Loureiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stig-Åke Benet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. For all the effort they put into the match, the Colombia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Cöpacabana FC.
