Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Torsten Randslef got the match started through his kick off. Walter Leisted made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 4th minute of play. When Ecuador's Daniel Zorita, in the 4th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Walter Leisted tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd match minute, O-TT-O was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Palle Jansbøl to maneuver through the defense. Walter Leisted showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After some careless play in the O-TT-O defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Walter Leisted. The O-TT-O fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Walter Leisted should have stopped the shot. Walter Leisted came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Felix Montenegro. But to his dismay, Felix Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 35th minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Walter Leisted was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Felix Montenegro scored 0-5 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Walter Leisted, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 42 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Walter Leisted made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. 46 minutes into the game, Luis Andino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-7. Walter Leisted was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-7.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Walter Leisted didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-8 was the resulting score. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Walter Leisted having to make a save. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Walter Leisted came out and tried to block the shot, but Daniel Zorita slotted it home off the left post making it 0-9 in the 60th minute. After 64 played minutes O-TT-O got a freekick which was hit by Yılmaz Necmi. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the O-TT-O defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Walter Leisted. The O-TT-O fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Walter Leisted should have stopped the shot. 76 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Walter Leisted narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luis Andino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luis Andino struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Walter Leisted didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. After 80 played minutes O-TT-O got a freekick which was hit by Otto Strib. Walter Leisted made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 81st minute. Walter Leisted made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walter Leisted having to interfere. In the 86th minute of the match, Felix Montenegro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Walter Leisted was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 89 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Volmar Graugaard came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st minute of the match O-TT-O got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Thorleif Nadolny ran over to the corner to take the kick. Thorleif Nadolny made a great header on O-TT-O's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than O-TT-O throughout the match.
