Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luis Escobar in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacobo Nores prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 6th minute of the match ALIANZA 1901 got a corner. Paraguay's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nazario Ispuzua ran over to the corner to take the kick. Nazario Ispuzua made a great header on ALIANZA 1901's corner, it was just that Paraguay's Jacobo Nores managed to reach the ball for a save. Luis Escobar scored 0-1 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jacobo Nores, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Richie Ason fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ALIANZA 1901's protests and gave Richie Ason a yellow card for diving instead. Richie Ason kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After having played for 15 minutes, Jaime Pardo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paraguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Pardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jacobo Nores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Tomasini in the 18th minute of the match. Jaime Pardo in the 27thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bieito Luzuriaga, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Luis Escobar scored 0-2 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jacobo Nores, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 32ndth minute of the game Luis Escobar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paraguay's Jacobo Nores was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Escobar in the 37th minute of play forced Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute of the match ALIANZA 1901 got a corner. Paraguay's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luis Escobar got in the 44th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Jacobo Nores handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. The supporters of Paraguay booed when ALIANZA 1901 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richie Ason didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jaime Pardo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. ALIANZA 1901's Alfredo Tomasini got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 52 minutes of play, ALIANZA 1901's Alfredo Tomasini made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jacobo Nores was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Alfredo Tomasini put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Jacobo Nores. The supporters of ALIANZA 1901 booed when Paraguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hector Covarrubias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luis Escobar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Jacobo Nores made a huge save. Alfredo Tomasini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Nores having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 70 minutes, Jacobo Nores successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. It was a well-played corner which Brais Lahoz managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After 75 minutes, Jaime Pardo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paraguay and the ALIANZA 1901 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jaime Pardo kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Jacobo Nores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Tomasini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jacobo Nores made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Luis Escobar sent off a good shot on target. In the 86th minute, Luis Escobar reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jacobo Nores. The goal made the score 0-7. After 89 minutes, Luis Escobar made it 0-8 with a short kick to the right side. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Alfredo Tomasini took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacobo Nores. Jacobo Nores dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-9. In the 96th minute, ALIANZA 1901's Alfredo Tomasini ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jacobo Nores. Jacobo Nores yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-10. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. ALIANZA 1901 walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
