The supporters of Real Còrdoba FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Mina didn't get a good kick on the ball. 17 minutes into the game, Léo Messis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Victor Vulpăşin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Flavio Figueroa went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Léo Messis was slow to take the kick. During this time Real Còrdoba FC's players had a chance to rest. Real Còrdoba FC's Samir Gentiletti was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Ferrant in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 32nd minute Real Còrdoba FC were awarded a corner. Léo Messis went to the cornerflag to take it. Tomas Illescas made a great header on Venezuela's corner, it was just that Real Còrdoba FC's Victor Vulpăşin managed to reach the ball for a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Anibal Cordeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Còrdoba FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Anibal Cordeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 46 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell 최 명 to make the kick off. In the 57th minute, Léo Messis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. In the 85th minute, Tomas Illescas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Real Còrdoba FC's Fernando Abascal was substituted for Samir Gentiletti. The supporters of Real Còrdoba FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Illescas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Victor Vulpăşin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. When 최 명 came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Real Còrdoba FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 최 명 couldn't finish the play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Real Còrdoba FC fully deserved thier win.
