Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Dexter Morgan VR46's goalie and right to Juan Sebastián Puig. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Dexter Morgan VR46's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Baldomiro Nardo in the 9th minute. Bennvar Björkänge kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ecuador fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 11th minute. Penalty! In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dexter Morgan VR46's goalkeeper Comunardo Guerrini, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Comunardo Guerrini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Comunardo Guerrini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 31st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 37th minute of play forced Dexter Morgan VR46's goalkeeper Comunardo Guerrini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baldomiro Nardo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Bob Marley could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. 43 minutes into the match, Dexter Morgan VR46's Bob Marley sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 45th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Comunardo Guerrini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dexter Morgan VR46's Bob Marley got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dexter Morgan VR46's Claudio Ciolli was substituted for Anfilogino Palma.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Baldomiro Nardo was the one to do the kick off. Bob Marley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Bob Marley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Bob Marley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bob Marley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 67th match minute, Dexter Morgan VR46 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baldomiro Nardo to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Dexter Morgan VR46 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bennvar Björkänge didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baldomiro Nardo took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bob Marley in the 80th minute of play. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 87th play minutes Bob Marley shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Julio Vera and just under the crossbar into goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bob Marley in the 92nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Dexter Morgan VR46 getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Matt McGregor hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Comunardo Guerrini having to make a save. Ecuador's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
