Monty Rogers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hong Qing having to interfere. Hong Qing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 12th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Monty Rogers in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hong Qing saved Club Atlético Lea Papá from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Monty Rogers put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Hong Qing. In the 25th minute, Alvar Ponce made a precise shot to the right of Marco Day. USA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Club Atlético Lea Papá's Hong Qing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Monty Rogers ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hong Qing was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cassius Byrne in the 35th minute of play forced Club Atlético Lea Papá's goalkeeper Hong Qing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edward Mcdonald's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hong Qing read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. After 38 minutes Club Atlético Lea Papá's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cassius Byrne who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Cassius Byrne got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Hong Qing quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacob May in the 39th minute of play forced Club Atlético Lea Papá's goalkeeper Hong Qing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

Club Atlético Lea Papá's Aldo-Pedro Poy was substituted for Anton Donose. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cassius Byrne stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Cassius Byrne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hong Qing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cassius Byrne could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Hong Qing made a huge save. Hong Qing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zach Harrison, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64th minute Jenson Smith shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hong Qing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cassius Byrne in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hong Qing saved Club Atlético Lea Papá from getting behind. USA's Sam Campbell got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 79 minutes into the match, USA's Monty Rogers sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hong Qing narrowly saved just below the crossbar. USA made a substitution. Marco Baker replaced Edward Mcdonald. USA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jenson Smith in the 81st minute. A nice corner shot did that Jenson Smith got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Hong Qing quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Hong Qing stood somewhat misplaced when Sam Campbell came free in front of goal and shot 1-4 to the left of him in the 81 minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aldo-Pedro Poy in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Day prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Club Atlético Lea Papá's Hong Qing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Baker in the 90th minute of play. Raúl Gordillo charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raúl Gordillo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Raúl Gordillo hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Hong Qing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sam Campbell in the 94th minute of the match. When the match was over USA could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Club Atlético Lea Papá throughout the match.
