Wilfried Spaniol could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. After 25 minutes Mexico's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Flavinho Rosado who took care of the corner kick. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Umberto Moreno in the 26th minute of play. Barra Gøl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Galo na Veia FC™'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alberto Tafalla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Mexico were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
