Cristian Beliran took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Beliran in the 25th minute. Felix Montes charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felix Montes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 28 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montes. Vamos Los Pibes!!!!'s Eliseo Sagrario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 36th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montes got a free kick in the 38th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 42nd minute of play forced Vamos Los Pibes!!!!'s goalkeeper Eliseo Sagrario to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Cristian Beliran made the kick off in the second half. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Beliran in the 51st minute of play.
