Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arthur Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tallahassee Vikings's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lincoln Dias in the 27th minute. 31 minutes into the game, Lincoln Dias threw the ball into play from the sideline. Honduras's Christian Sancho quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arthur Sousa in the 32nd minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Mirolyub Lyatov fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tallahassee Vikings's protests and gave Mirolyub Lyatov a yellow card for diving instead. Blaine Kemp was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Moises Tafalla showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 35 minute of play. 42 minutes into the game, Edmundo Espiga cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Blaine Kemp was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edmundo Espiga to make the kick off. A collision led to Tallahassee Vikings getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Darron Webb hit a great ball. In the 85th minute, Edmundo Espiga sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Tallahassee Vikings's Blaine Kemp didn't even have to move. After having played for 87 minutes, Sebastian Villa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastian Villa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Darron Webb kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match.
