ToCoTaN FC's Vic Wijnants was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dante Lacasa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simon Wallin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 8 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mexico's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Vic Wijnants was slow to take the kick. During this time ToCoTaN FC's players had a chance to rest. At last the ball reached Jethro Van Landschoot at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Mexico. 1-0. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rubén Montt in the 12th minute. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simon Wallin in the 14th minute of play. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Mahmut Bilen tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edelmiro Veronica was left in no man's land by his defense there! 35 minutes into the game, Alberto Tafalla cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Edelmiro Veronica was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Rubén Montt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. 47 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Simon Wallin came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Vic Wijnants made the kick off in the second half. Edelmiro Veronica showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. The corner led Mexico's Joel Gaona to fire away a dangerous shot which Edelmiro Veronica despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 73rd minute Mahmut Bilen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75th minute, Luca Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edelmiro Veronica was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. In the 82nd minute, Vic Wijnants left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ToCoTaN FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. 87 minutes into the match, ToCoTaN FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Edelmiro Veronica reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
