Ernesto Emmanuel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 34th minute of play. Mariano Lacasa was slow to take the kick. During this time Chile's players had a chance to rest. In the 37th match minute, Chile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Indiano to maneuver through the defense. 45 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Benito Naldo came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Naldo scored 1-2 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thiago Pliego, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

Gerardo Pozo hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Madison defense, Mariano Lacasa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ernesto Emmanuel. The Madison fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ernesto Emmanuel should have stopped the shot. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ernesto Emmanuel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Madison's Cristos Ponce was substituted for Omar Osasun. Cristobal Chumo kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. If Benito Naldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Madison's Ernesto Emmanuel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Madison from getting a goal against them. Chile's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mariano Lacasa in the 70th minute. After a rather tough play, Chile's Jose Manzanedo got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 72nd minute, Mete Gol got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 76 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ernesto Emmanuel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 77th minute, Cristobal Chumo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thiago Pliego stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benito Naldo's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Mariano Lacasa's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 85thth minute, Ernesto Emmanuel skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Chile's Guillermo Fontirroig suffered a concussion after 86 minutes and had to leave the field. Chile made a substitution. Julio Aguayo replaced Guillermo Fontirroig. Cristobal Chumo hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leo Lesardo in the 94th minute of play. Ege Træet kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The Madison supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Chile's performance. The match ended with a win for Chile.
