Enrico Barreneche took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Enrico Barreneche tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Porteño Prowess FC fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when Porteño Prowess FC's Enrico Barreneche looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience thought a goal was coming when Enrico Barreneche got free with Julio Vera in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Enrico Barreneche struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Porteño Prowess FC. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Primitivo Andino hit a great ball. After having played for 42 minutes, Enrico Barreneche managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Porteño Prowess FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enrico Barreneche was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 44 minutes, Felix Montenegro made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Porteño Prowess FC's Beniamin Brodzki tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Villarreal Ubach made the kick off in the second half. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Villarreal Ubach in the 56th minute of play. In the 57th minute of the match Porteño Prowess FC got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Song Yu Chen ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Porteño Prowess FC's Song Yu Chen to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Villarreal Ubach in the 61st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Beniamin Brodzki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Beniamin Brodzki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 66th minute of play. In the 66th minute, Song Yu Chen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Porteño Prowess FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Villarreal Ubach was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 83rd minute of the game Camilo Gisbert made a throw-in which Daniel Zorita played forward. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Villarreal Ubach managed to get in a good position for a shot. Porteño Prowess FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Villarreal Ubach was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 92 minutes into the match, Porteño Prowess FC's goalkeeper Beniamin Brodzki had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Montenegro. 97 minutes into the game, Porteño Prowess FC's Villarreal Ubach nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. When the referee blew the final whistle, Porteño Prowess FC could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
