Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Paulino Huguet's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Apolo Montero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Cugat Lara hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apolo Montero having to interfere. 10 minutes into the match, Mandrake fc's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Apolo Montero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 11 minutes into the game, Herauso Sarro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mandrake fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. 12 minutes into the match, Agustín Saelices notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Mandrake fc's Apolo Montero. Apolo Montero was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Apolo Montero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 20th minute of play. Apolo Montero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 24 minutes into the match, Mandrake fc's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Apolo Montero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mandrake fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. After a rather tough play, Mandrake fc's Saul Coira got a free kick in the 38th minute. The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 40th match minute when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apolo Montero having to interfere. After 51 minutes of play, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Montenegro got free with Apolo Montero in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 55 played minutes Mandrake fc got a freekick which was hit by Tulio Saura. Apolo Montero made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Mandrake fc's Apolo Montero got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Agustín Saelices notched a goal, 0-8, to the right of Mandrake fc's Apolo Montero. Daniel Zorita who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 76thth minute tested the skills of Apolo Montero when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Apolo Montero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. After 82 minutes, Tulio Saura mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mandrake fc and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 82nd match minute, Mandrake fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tulio Saura to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 86th minute, which Apolo Montero however easily saved by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Apolo Montero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adolfo Garate charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adolfo Garate the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 90th minute, Adolfo Garate hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ecuador played a much better game than Mandrake fc and deserved their victory. The Mandrake fc players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
