Julian Torres charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Julian Torres the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Barrialito AFC getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Julian Torres hit a great ball. The supporters of Barrialito AFC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Sebastián Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristo Elivareo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Barrialito AFC's Teodosio Txema got a free kick in the 11th minute. With an all-out effort, Barrialito AFC's Julio Vera threw himself towards the right post 13 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Hernan Socorro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Raitin in the 15th minute of play. Cristo Elivareo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 17th minute of play. Luis Andino's late challenge caught a Barrialito AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luis Andino helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Luis Andino hit a great ball. 31 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Cristo Elivareo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Barrialito AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hernan Socorro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristo Elivareo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 35th minute of the match. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernan Socorro in the 44th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita managed to work through Barrialito AFC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Daniel Zorita dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 60th match minute, Barrialito AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodosio Txema to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristo Elivareo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Agustín Saelices in the 64th minute. In the 70th minute, Barrialito AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cristian Sancho fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Cristo Elivareo made a huge save. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Raitin in the 74th minute of play. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Cristo Elivareo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hernan Socorro in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Cristo Elivareo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Teodosio Txema hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 85 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. A collision led to Barrialito AFC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Severino Gartxot hit a great ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Efrain Blai in the 90th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Cristian Sancho could shoot a difficult shot in the 91st minute, which Cristo Elivareo however easily saved by the left post. During the 92nd minute of the match Julian Torres completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Julian Torres a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Barrialito AFC's Julian Torres got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Cristo Elivareo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 95th minute of play.
