Abraham Alguacil took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 84th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Claudio-Paul Taffarel. The tension between the Inter de Melão and the Panama players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Inter de Melão fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 86th minute. Penalty! Inter de Melão:s Claudio-Paul Taffarel showed great skill when he stopped Abraham Alguacil:s penalty. After having played for 95 minutes, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Berganza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abraham Alguacil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Claudio-Paul Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 98th minute of the match. The Panama supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Inter de Melão's performance. The match ended with a win for Inter de Melão.
