Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Efraim Morais started the match with the kick off. Marcos Cotilla made an important save on a dangerous shot by Efraim Morais in the 3rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in C.A.Guimarães's zone, Abraham Alguacil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lartaun Ibar came out of the goal and Abraham Alguacil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Miguel Miralles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 8th minute Efraim Morais shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9th minute, Felipe Ros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Efraim Morais in the 10thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Marcos Cotilla, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 11 minutes into the game, Waddah Fudail was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C.A.Guimarães's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Panama the free kick. After 11 played minutes C.A.Guimarães got a freekick which was hit by Waddah Fudail. Lartaun Ibar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 13th minute of the match. In the 14th minute Panama were awarded a corner. Abraham Alguacil went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Panama's Abraham Alguacil to fire away a dangerous shot which Lartaun Ibar despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 21 minutes of play, Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lartaun Ibar was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 25th match minute, C.A.Guimarães was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Efraim Morais to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute, Tomas Berganza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, C.A.Guimarães's Marcos Cotilla threw himself towards the right post 40 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Efraim Morais, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Berganza to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Dmitriy Didorenko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 53 minutes into the game, Dmitriy Didorenko cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Marcos Cotilla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 57 minutes into the match, C.A.Guimarães's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Lartaun Ibar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 68 minutes into the game, Matthew Garrido threw the ball into play from the sideline. C.A.Guimarães's Antony Rodrigues quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. C.A.Guimarães's Lartaun Ibar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save C.A.Guimarães from getting a goal against them. 79 minutes into the match, C.A.Guimarães's goalkeeper Lartaun Ibar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abraham Alguacil. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Matthew Garrido hit a great ball. Marcelo Linares, 83 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 88th minute of play forced C.A.Guimarães's goalkeeper Lartaun Ibar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 91 played minutes C.A.Guimarães got a freekick which was hit by 董俊响. Lartaun Ibar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Berganza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The C.A.Guimarães players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
