Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Sílvio Luís Bittencourt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. After 9 minutes, Décio Paraibano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Júbilo Iwata and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. 9 minutes into the game, one of Júbilo Iwata:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 15th play minutes Jerônimo Mangueira shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Jonathan Ferrant and just under the crossbar into goal. 19 minutes into the game, Júbilo Iwata's Jerônimo Mangueira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 31st minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovanni Pena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 33 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Giovanni Pena prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ivan Xabier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 38 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Sílvio Luís Bittencourt came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovanni Pena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Júbilo Iwata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandro de Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 47th minute of play forced Júbilo Iwata's goalkeeper Giovanni Pena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ivan Xabier to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Xabier came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerônimo Mangueira in the 57th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Júbilo Iwata's Jerônimo Mangueira. But to his dismay, Jerônimo Mangueira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Sílvio Luís Bittencourt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Júbilo Iwata's Rafinha Velasco got a free kick in the 70th minute. In the 72nd minute Jerônimo Mangueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 73 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Chico Mendonça was slow to take the kick. During this time Júbilo Iwata's players had a chance to rest. 77 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Giovanni Pena, 3-1. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Jerônimo Mangueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Jerônimo Mangueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ivan Xabier in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ivan Xabier blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. Ivan Xabier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Giovanni Pena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 95th minute of play.
