After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas got a free kick in the 10th minute. The audience was convinced that 马岩邦's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 1-0 when 马岩邦 sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 22nd minute of play forced 康富来's goalkeeper 杜义勇 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute 马岩邦 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 45 played minutes 康富来 got a freekick which was hit by 黄超岩. In the 47th minute, Tomás Pinheiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Wawrzyniec Kalinowski came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bryan Laudrup in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Venezuela booed when 康富来 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. 黄超岩 didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute, Patricio Costa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of 杜义勇. The goal made the score 3-1. When 唐鸿杰 came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the 康富来 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 唐鸿杰 couldn't finish the play. 唐鸿杰 took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 康富来 walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
