Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 6 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iraido Bertiz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bengt-Rune Widberg in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. When Fohat Neyen's Bengt-Rune Widberg, in the 12th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Fohat Neyen. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 18 minutes into the game, Bengt-Rune Widberg recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Julio Vera. Bengt-Rune Widberg showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 30th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 33rd minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fohat Neyen's Iraido Bertiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 38th minute of play. After 39 minutes Fohat Neyen's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Felix Montes hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After having played for 44 minutes, Iruinea Llordes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fohat Neyen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iruinea Llordes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bengt-Rune Widberg to make the kick off. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bengt-Rune Widberg in the 50th minute of play. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bengt-Rune Widberg's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt-Rune Widberg in the 53rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Fohat Neyen getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Gudesteo Albalate hit a great ball. In the 56thth minute of the game Bengt-Rune Widberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 58th minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Iraido Bertiz was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 59th minute after Fohat Neyen's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Iraido Bertiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 63rd minute of play. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clemente Tome in the 65th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Fohat Neyen's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iraido Bertiz came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 71st minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iraido Bertiz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bengt-Rune Widberg in the 78th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Iraido Bertiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 84th minute of play. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Fohat Neyen.
