Thanks to some nice moves Doriva Tavares could shoot a difficult shot in the 35th minute, which Marco Day however easily saved by the left post. The USA fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when USA's Cassius Byrne looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Péter Pálffy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cassius Byrne, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After the first half USA were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vinícius Junior stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Capivara FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cassius Byrne came free, but Péter Pálffy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 56 minutes USA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Zhang Chen who took care of the corner kick. With a little luck, Capivara FC's Péter Pálffy got control of the ball when Cassius Byrne tried to sneak it across the goal line. Péter Pálffy made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Cassius Byrne sent off a good shot on target. Capivara FC's Péter Pálffy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 67th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Monty Rogers got free with Péter Pálffy in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. USA:s Marco Day showed great skill when he stopped Neycho Mudrov:s penalty. 73 minutes into the game, Neycho Mudrov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Marco Day was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Péter Pálffy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 76th minute of the match. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Neycho Mudrov, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 83rd minute Edward Mcdonald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Péter Pálffy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
