Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Erasmo Simão started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Falcão Sampaio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erasmo Simão kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 16th minute of play forced Grentino FC's goalkeeper Falcão Sampaio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 22 minutes Grentino FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Joel Gaona got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Falcão Sampaio quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Grentino FC's Falcão Sampaio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 26th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Grentino FC's Joaquin Xacintu got a free kick in the 27th minute. 33 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Grentino FC's Falcão Sampaio. Falcão Sampaio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gualter Sampaio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. Falcão Sampaio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 37th minute of the match. Falcão Sampaio came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Alberto Tafalla. But to his dismay, Alberto Tafalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gaona made a kick off. Falcão Sampaio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Válter Baiano hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Grentino FC's Falcão Sampaio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Grentino FC from getting a goal against them. Grentino FC's Gualter Sampaio got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Falcão Sampaio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 58th minute of play. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gualter Sampaio, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. After 61 minutes Mexico's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bo Edström who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Grentino FC's corner Bo Edström fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dante Lacasa quite easily take care of the ball. Falcão Sampaio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 64th minute of play. Erasmo Simão's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dante Lacasa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Alberto Tafalla notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Grentino FC's Falcão Sampaio. Falcão Sampaio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Mexico booed when Grentino FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nilton Passos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Falcão Sampaio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Erasmo Simão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erasmo Simão in the 93rd minute of play. In the 94th minute, Joel Gaona left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Mexico's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
