Manu Louke might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Manu Louke ran back to his position shaking his head. Antonio Arias hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Mickey Thompson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 35 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Kurt Lobb came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mickey Thompson having to interfere. Mickey Thompson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 39th minute of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. After 84 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montes. Kurt Lobb took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kurt Lobb in the 91st minute of the match. Daryl Burgess hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match.
