LKS Skołyszyn's Edmunds Vaivaris suffered a sore thigh after 14 minutes and couldn't finish the game. LKS Skołyszyn's Wawrzyniec Puzio was substituted for Edmunds Vaivaris. After 15 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Mariano. Fabian Zajac took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabian Zajac prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Filip Fikus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabian Zajac took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cyprian Rode in the 28th minute of play. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fabian Zajac having to make a save. 32 minutes into the match, Filip Fikus had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Filip Fikus was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wawrzyniec Puzio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Filip Fikus left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The LKS Skołyszyn fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Wawrzyniec Puzio struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
