Milagros Fraga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but 郭德常 made a huge save. Luz Tejedor blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without 郭德常 having to make a save. After 15 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Alonso Berganza. In the 23rd minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 郭德常 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 郭德常 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julian Murillo might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over 郭德常. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Julian Murillo ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Mina in the 28th minute of play forced Gutenberg's goalkeeper 郭德常 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Gutenberg booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquin Prats didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernabe Intxixu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rolando Noboa. Peru's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Peru were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after Gutenberg's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Gutenberg's goalie and right to Eliseo Mina. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Gutenberg's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Alonso Berganza hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Gutenberg's Rodrigo Santos was substituted for Noah Le Bret Maboulou. Gutenberg's Lucio Onbera managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Alonso Berganza in the 74 minute of the game. Rafael Gallo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but 郭德常 read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. When the final whistle went the supporters of Gutenberg were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Peru side.
