After taking down the ball on C.A.Guimarães's corner Marcelo Linares fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lautaro Navarro quite easily take care of the ball. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcus Paes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to C.A.Guimarães getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Waddah Fudail hit a great ball. In the 33rd minute, Marcus Paes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. C.A.Guimarães's Lartaun Ibar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save C.A.Guimarães from getting a goal against them. If Moises Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, C.A.Guimarães's Efraim Morais got a free kick in the 43rd minute. In the 47th minute, Marcus Paes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edmundo Espiga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Moises Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lartaun Ibar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Villa, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. 70 minutes into the game, Efraim Morais recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lautaro Navarro. Efraim Morais showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Milagros Cabal got a free kick in the 74th minute. Lautaro Navarro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Efraim Morais in the 84th minute. Edmundo Espiga, 86 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Lartaun Ibar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Esteban Carvallo hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Honduras's zone, Efraim Morais stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Efraim Morais tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
