When the match clock showed 10 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Zlatan Bilalov sped through Uruguay's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Zlatan Bilalov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joaquin Gayoso made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Zlatan Bilalov sent off a good shot on target. When Sven-Arne Tunström fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lighters's protests and gave Sven-Arne Tunström a yellow card for diving instead. In the 20th minute, Sven-Arne Tunström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joaquin Gayoso made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Zhivko Presolski sent off a good shot on target. In the 23rd minute Lighters were awarded a corner. Gerasim Slabakov went to the cornerflag to take it. After 33 played minutes Lighters got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Arne Tunström. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco Seco in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Grigor Ruski saved Lighters from getting behind. Arturo Carvallo kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Grigor Ruski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. When the match clock showed 45 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Francisco Seco sped through Lighters's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Grigor Ruski. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
In the 52nd minute Zhivko Presolski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 53 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Maximiliano Escribano. In the 55th minute of the match, Francisco Seco got a very nice opportunity to score, but Grigor Ruski was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With his leg Grigor Ruski managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Uruguay's Francisco Seco fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Zhivko Presolski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Lighters's zone, Camilo Franco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Grigor Ruski came out of the goal and Camilo Franco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 66 minutes into the game, Vladko Kavalov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lighters's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uruguay the free kick. After a rather tough play, Lighters's Vladko Kavalov got a free kick in the 66th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Seco got free with Grigor Ruski in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Francisco Seco kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Grigor Ruski. That made the score 1-2 in the 76 minute of play. Sven-Arne Tunström hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Lighters's Svetlozar Kiryazov got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Francisco Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Grigor Ruski made a huge save. The supporters of Lighters booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Beldad didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zlatan Bilalov scored 2-3 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joaquin Gayoso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 97 minutes into the match, Lighters's goalkeeper Grigor Ruski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Seco. Uruguay's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
