In the 27th minute Santino Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogdan Dyachkov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Axel Montenegro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bogdan Dyachkov was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Konstantin Lukyanovich was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. Igor Romanchenko scored 5-2 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Manzanares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pascual Carballar's late challenge caught a FK Amur's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pascual Carballar helped the player get up and apologised. In the 93rd match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pascual Carballar to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Klim Lukin in the 96th minute of play. Colombia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
