Iona Lightfoot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Iona Lightfoot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 8th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joel Gaona in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iona Lightfoot prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind KARAORMAN's goalkeeper Iona Lightfoot, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Manuel Silban took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 29 minutes into the match, KARAORMAN's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Iona Lightfoot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Karim Benzema's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 31stth minute, Dante Lacasa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Iona Lightfoot didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joel Gaona went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Iona Lightfoot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 41st minute of play. In the 44th minute Karim Benzema shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 46th minute of play forced KARAORMAN's goalkeeper Iona Lightfoot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Karim Benzema was the one to do the kick off. Lautaro Mancebo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Iona Lightfoot made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 55th minute. After a rather tough play, KARAORMAN's Mark Twainborg got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 60th minute of the match, Joel Gaona tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Iona Lightfoot saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Joel Gaona took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Iona Lightfoot. Iona Lightfoot dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 69th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iona Lightfoot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iona Lightfoot didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joel Gaona went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. When Alberto Tafalla came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Tafalla couldn't finish the play. 75 minutes into the match, Karim Benzema notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Mexico's Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 80th minute, Guo Ling Zhou hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 81 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Mancebo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. KARAORMAN's Iona Lightfoot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 83rd minute of play. Iona Lightfoot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 86th minute of the match. In the 87th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. 92 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Iona Lightfoot, 2-4. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
