Süleymaniye's Ataman Mülayim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Süleymaniye from getting a goal against them. 18 minutes into the match, Gökçek Acem notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lautaro Puig's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ataman Mülayim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. After 22 minutes Süleymaniye's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Axel Tasis who took care of the corner kick. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Süleymaniye's Gökçek Acem. But to his dismay, Gökçek Acem quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. If Axel Tasis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Hugo Ferrant got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 43rd minute Gökçek Acem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Costa Rica players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Süleymaniye were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Axel Tasis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, Süleymaniye was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaffar Yalınayak to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th minute, Şinasi Ragıp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hugo Ferrant's late challenge caught a Süleymaniye's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Tasis in the 63rd minute of play forced Süleymaniye's goalkeeper Ataman Mülayim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Gökçek Acem had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gökçek Acem was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. 73 minutes into the match, Süleymaniye's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Tasis came free, but Ataman Mülayim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Sanz was out of position in the 76 minute of play, and Gökçek Acem capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gökçek Acem really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gökçek Acem in the 82nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alan Moruga got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Şinasi Ragıp took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 90th minute of the match Pars Tongal sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz skillfully saved the ball. Axel Tasis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Costa Rica supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Süleymaniye's performance. The match ended with a win for Süleymaniye.
