In the 7th minute, Kris Pearse got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Boroondara Milan getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Drake Sobczak hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Boroondara Milan's Drake Sobczak got a free kick in the 11th minute. The audience was convinced that Paco Everett's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lautaro Navarro was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. When Kris Pearse came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Boroondara Milan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kris Pearse couldn't finish the play. 22 minutes into the match, Boroondara Milan's Paco Everett sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lautaro Navarro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 24 minutes, Kris Pearse managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boroondara Milan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kris Pearse was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 26 minutes into the match, Paco Everett had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paco Everett was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kris Pearse in the 28th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 30 minutes Honduras's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ned Mills who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Ned Mills got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Lautaro Navarro quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Paco Everett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th match minute, Boroondara Milan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arty Shearn to maneuver through the defense. Kris Pearse might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lautaro Navarro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kris Pearse ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paco Everett stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Kris Pearse came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Boroondara Milan fans jumped to their feet. Through an outstanding action, after 57 minutes, Lautaro Navarro successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A collision led to Boroondara Milan getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Arty Shearn hit a great ball. Moises Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Bath Boyce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kris Pearse in the 65th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paco Everett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Lautaro Navarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Long Worsley fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Boroondara Milan's protests and gave Long Worsley a yellow card for diving instead. After 71 played minutes Boroondara Milan got a freekick which was hit by Long Worsley. Emanuel Ocampo hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Lautaro Navarro was out of position in the 79 minute of play, and Paco Everett capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Paco Everett really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. The supporters of Boroondara Milan booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Espinar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ivan Navarro hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paco Everett in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lautaro Navarro saved Honduras from getting behind. In the 94thth minute of the game Edmundo Espiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Boroondara Milan's Bath Boyce was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 96th minute, Boroondara Milan's Kris Pearse ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Boroondara Milan had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
