Peru's defense didn't have a chance, in the 6th minute, when Fernando Negro scored to the left of an out of position Rolando Noboa, making the score, 1-0. Rahim Kornes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 10th minute of the match. Rahim Kornes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 11th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Julian Murillo made a precise shot to the right of Rahim Kornes. Seraċini Għawdxin's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Song Wei Yun in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolando Noboa saved Peru from getting behind. After 24 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Emmanuel Reyes. Seraċini Għawdxin's Rahim Kornes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 27th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Seraċini Għawdxin's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Rahim Kornes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rolando Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Song Wei Yun's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Song Wei Yun, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rahim Kornes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 39 minutes Seraċini Għawdxin's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Peru's corner Luz Tejedor fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rahim Kornes quite easily take care of the ball. In the 42nd match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emmanuel Reyes to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernando Negro got free with Rolando Noboa in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 46 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fernando Negro. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Song Wei Yun made the kick off in the second half. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julian Murillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 64 minutes into the match, Seraċini Għawdxin's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Rahim Kornes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute Peru were awarded a corner. Luz Tejedor went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Peru's corner Emmanuel Reyes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rahim Kornes quite easily take care of the ball. 69 minutes into the game, Fernando Negro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Rolando Noboa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Song Wei Yun in the 73rd minute of play. Rahim Kornes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 75th minute of the match. Jostein Røvik made in the 76th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Rahim Kornes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 78 minutes had been played when some careless play by Seraċini Għawdxin's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Emmanuel Reyes hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Rahim Kornes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Gallo in the 96th minute of play. Peru were awarded a corner in the 97th minute after Seraċini Għawdxin's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eliseo Mina took the corner. Peru's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
