Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Paulo-Eduardo do Nascimento started the match with the kick off. Markus Pflüger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 4th minute of the match. Paulo-Eduardo do Nascimento charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulo-Eduardo do Nascimento the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 6th match minute, Du Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo-Eduardo do Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. 8 minutes into the match, Du Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Markus Pflüger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Markus Pflüger came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After having played for 11 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Du Esporte Clube's Markus Pflüger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 13th minute of play. Markus Pflüger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 16th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Markus Pflüger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Du Esporte Clube's Markus Pflüger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 20th minute of play. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Du Esporte Clube defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Markus Pflüger. The Du Esporte Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Markus Pflüger should have stopped the shot. 35 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Markus Pflüger narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Agustín Saelices fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Markus Pflüger having to interfere. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnaldo Lizer in the 40th minute of the match. Markus Pflüger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 43rd minute of play. The Du Esporte Clube players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Rodolfo Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 50th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Markus Pflüger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. Agustín Saelices recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 57 minutes into the match, Agustín Saelices had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Markus Pflüger. Du Esporte Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Agustín Saelices was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 65 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Markus Pflüger. Cristian Sancho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. After 70 minutes, Nemesio Clementi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Du Esporte Clube and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eduardo Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rodolfo Castro during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With a little luck, Du Esporte Clube's Markus Pflüger got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo-Eduardo do Nascimento in the 92nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Du Esporte Clube's Arnaldo Lizer got a free kick in the 94th minute. In the 97th minute Sílvio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador played a much better game than Du Esporte Clube and deserved their victory. The Du Esporte Clube players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
