Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerasim Slabakov in the 33rd minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Lighters's goalkeeper Grigor Ruski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abraham Alguacil. 37 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Zlatan Bilalov came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zlatan Bilalov in the 42nd minute of play. After 46 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Dylan Sarmiento. The supporters of Panama booed when Lighters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Radoy Semenov didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zlatan Bilalov to make the kick off. In the 54th match minute, Lighters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Svetlozar Kiryazov to maneuver through the defense. In the 56thth minute of the game Abraham Alguacil who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lighters's Grigor Ruski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Panama booed when Lighters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven-Arne Tunström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcos Cotilla was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Radoy Semenov showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 62 minute of play. Grigor Ruski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abraham Alguacil in the 72nd minute of the match. Jose Carita kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Zhivko Presolski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Marcos Cotilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 79 played minutes Lighters got a freekick which was hit by Bilyan Leshtanski. In the 86th match minute, Lighters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Arne Tunström to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 87 minutes, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Berganza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 89 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zhivko Presolski. Abraham Alguacil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Grigor Ruski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Radoy Semenov charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Radoy Semenov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Lighters's Radoy Semenov got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Tomas Berganza might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Grigor Ruski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Berganza ran back to his position shaking his head.
